The following is a list of the general guild rules (loot rules are
here) for being a member of Screams of the Past. Failure to follow these rules may result in a warning, demotion, or guild removal.
1. Your main character must be level 60 to join the guild. If you don't yet have a level 60 character you can still apply and be approved; however your character will not be able to join the guild until it reaches level 60. Once in the guild your sub-level 60 alts may join. We do not however allow shamans, death knights, or Draenei characters in the guild, even as alts. No character higher than level 60 is allowed in the guild.
2. As we are a Classic WoW raiding guild, you are
not allowed to use BC/WOLK gear, enchants, glyphs, or consumables in guild raids. Gear obtained from the dungeon finder
Bag of Spoils is prohibited as well. Simply put, if it didn't exist before the release of Burning Crusade, it's not allowed in our guild raids. You are however allowed to use 51 point talents when raiding.
3.
We do NOT allow pugs in our raids- no exceptions. Pugging anything with a lockout timer (MC, BWL, ZG, AQ20&40) is an instant gkick. Furthermore, you're not allowed to use your lvl 80 characters to farm raid instances with any of your SotP guilded characters.
4. Being that we are a raiding guild, we expect members to attend at least two raids per week. Our raid schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at 6:30pm; invites going out at 6:15. Saturday is an optional raid night with the raid starting at 8pm. Raid times are in server time, which is CST time.
5. Do not ninja-log. If you know you have to logout prior to the end of a raid, give the raid leaders at least a 1 hour notice. Failure to do so will result in you being ineligible to receive loot for one week.
6. We require a certain degree of maturity. Excessive arguing, talking, spamming, or other annoying behavior is not tolerated.
7. We use Ventrillo for facilitating our raids. You will be expected to log onto Ventrillo to receive raid instructions and assignments. It's encouraged, but not necessary, for you to have a microphone so you may speak.
8. As Molten Core and Blackwing Lair both require attunment in order to enter, characters must complete the respective attunement quests before they will be allowed to raid those instances. In addition, it's
strongly recommended characters get the flightpaths in The Hinterlands, Feralas, and Azshara, as those are near locations where world dragons spawn.
9. Switching your designated main character requires premission from the guild leadership. If approved, the current main and the new main will both have their DKP reset to zero.
10. Alternative characters (alts) are not allowed to participate in raiding unless the raid leader has given specific permission to said character, and/or there is permission given to said character from guild leadership (class leaders & officers).
